DEAR NOAH a visual time capsule and an open love letter to the next generation illustrating and documenting 2020, especially through the lens of the civil rights movement "Black Lives Matter" and what it means to be born Black across the world in this pivotal year. The project is built as a series of love letters from Black Womxn to children explaining what we are living now and they are feeling about it as a Black womxn. It is a way like a journal to process what is happening right now. It is also an educational tool for Black children to grow up feeling seen, empowered, loved and less scared. Finally, it is a medium to speak to one's inner child, the "younger self", the child which might have been neglected growing up as safe spaces of vulnerability were not a common place 10-20 years ago for Black Womxn. This project include love letters but also art (illustrations, photos / portraits, collages, poems, quotes...) created by contributing artists and embodying this defining year. You can find more information on the website of the project: https://www.dearnoahproject.com/ Feel free to reach out if you want to take part.
