Design Museum: Amy – Beyond the Stage

The Design Museum set out to celebrate and commemorate the legacy of Amy Winehouse, one of the most creative musicians of our time, with a new retrospective exhibition titled Amy: Beyond the Stage. Seeking to unravel the creative process behind her music, pay tribute to her rich range of influences, and spotlight her iconic style, the exhibition gave people a chance to glance backstage at the career of “the cultural icon that the world lost too soon”. We worked with Kallaway to bring the Design Museum’s exhibition to life on the streets of London, with a creative identity by Studio Moross. Painting a graffiti mural in the heart of Camden – one of London’s musical heartlands – it was a beautiful, artistic tribute to Amy Winehouse a decade after her death. It also provided the perfect way to announce the news of the exhibition, appearing in both The Guardian and NME.
