Design of ethical card game

  • Justine Ravina

For my undergraduate Final Major Project I designed a card game for ethical debates and self-reflection called "Deal & Discuss". " It is a card game that brings people from any background together with the goal of sparking ethical debates and empowering the players by giving them a sense of purpose and guidance in life. It can be used as a tool for anyone to learn about community-living, share thoughts and experiences, as well as discuss moral dilemmas and break mental health stigmas. Through its multiple facets, the game tackles themes such as introspection, studying emotional intelligence and testing knowledge on community. The rules of the game were purposely made to recreate the real-life privileges one can have. Self-reflection and existentialism are essential for us to grow and adapt in society. When confronted with a dilemma, how can one decide what is best for them or the global good, and how external judgement can affect one’s decision? "
