Digital Squirrel: Website

Web Design | Wireframes | UI / UX

Digital Squirrel is an online resource library where creatives of all kinds can go to learn and expand their skills. The website needed to be intuitive and easy to use with easy to access tutorials, but also create a fun and social environment.

I created wireframes to establish the user journey flows; this ensures that even the smallest interactions and touchpoints are a consideration during the design phase.

Tutorials are a crucial aspect of the site; it was essential to convey the information in a clear, concise way with easy to read components. Every tutorial was verified and tested by webmasters and admin team, with additional ongoing support. The content has been divided up into manageable sections in an accordion format - this makes the copy highly legible and less overwhelming. By doing this, it will make searching for particular snippets of information quicker and easier.
I also introduced various design elements, prompts and interactions to make Digital Squirrel a fun and social community. Users are encouraged to participate in code and design challenges set by webmasters and interact with other developers and designers at monthly events. Animation helped guide and engage the user around the site and created an overall interactive web experience.
