this project is part of the master's thesis "From the Pop Icon to the Human Cyborg : The Part of the Angels as vector of a knew typology of evolving and "living" objects".
This project is a reflexion on materials and processes. How can we change materials and processes to create objects that grow and evolve with time. Objects that will follow their owners along their lifes, "living" with them (changing their colours, shapes, absorbing the marks of time, reacting to the light and the weather,...).
DIY Crystal is an experimentation with chemical products that can produce crystals. According to the chemical dosing, the crystals grow at different speeds and take differents forms. Some of them are biger and stronger while the others are able to grow on other materials (tissu, steel, wood...). Once they are out of the solution they'll keep evolving (shape and color modification).
