Dr. Martens is strongly associated with self-expression and individuality. People from every background and culture embrace and customise their Dr. Martens to suit their personal style and fashion taste. The companies blog already makes a celebration of this, sharing a mixture of music, style and art with their readers. ‘DIY DOC’S’ is a subsection of the blog, showcasing some of the best examples of artists and illustrators customised shoes.

This project aims to encourage more customers to have fun with personalising their shoes by providing them with the right tools and inspiration for the project. It aims to allow the everyday wearer to bring a new life to their Docs, with a splash of paint and customisation. Each kit is themed, giving the customisation some context, with the aim of appealing to as many customers as possible.
