DRESSING THE SCREEN

  • Alma Iraldy Terrones
The project was built in response to the British Council brief of creating a visual identity for "Dressing The Screen: The Rise of Fashion Film", a traveling exhibition featuring the work of fashion film artists.

The creation reflects a clean, adaptable, flexible and practical bilingual system that beautifully works across different platforms and carries the essence of the identity. The system is consistent and easily adaptable in other languages.

The main inspiration, came from ‘the screen’ as a metaphor, which is represented by a square and is carried all along the visual identity. This idea was born as the artists work is purely exhibited on high definition projections and screens. The rectangle, which encapsulates the name of the host country, is a reference to clothing labels.
