Dubai EXPO 2021 - DP World Flow Pavillion

  • Thomas Bonsu-Dartnall

The DP World Pavillion at the the Dubai EXPO 2021 was a project I worked on for TheOpenLab. The Pavillion consists of 4 galleries on 5 floors, centred round a large atrium area with a 40 foot indoor waterfall. DP World’s pavilion is designed around the theme of ‘Making Trade Flow.’ Visitors can explore the movement of commerce around the world that drives the global economy. DP World operates a network of ports and data-driven logistics businesses around the world, including Dubai’s flagship port Jebel Ali. For this project I was tasked with finding video and images for all the galleries as well as sourcing suitable modern assets from DPW media library. I particularly enjoyed sourcing the archival footage and stills of old Dubai and its development to the very different place that exists today.
