During my final year of university there has been a far larger requirement for independent study. This predominantly meant reading and writing for our dissertations. For me this was a joy but also a massive task as I suffer from dyslexia and never, in my adult life, have I felt so challenged by it. It has meant that I have had to work incredibly hard to keep on top of my study.
For this Independent project, it was my aim to create work that reflected upon our lives, habits, struggles, strengths or ambitions. I felt there was an opportunity to reflect this frustrating process of learning, reading and writing with dyslexia. The project is not about replicating the actual vision of a dyslexic sufferer, but rather a reflection upon the process and challenges of reading that dyslexia sufferers face.
