E11EVEN

INSIGHT
Currently in society we are heading towards a digital age and the issue of “is print dead?” keeps reoccurring.
IDEA
By creating E11EVEN I hope to create a refreshing, creative magazine which people would want to collect. The magazine is named E11EVEN after there being 11 key elements to make up the human body. Each issue of the magazine would focus on one topic with a variety of articles on the same theme. I want to engage my readers further by clever images which metaphorically represents the article, making it easy to follow as it communicates the message of the text.
EXECUTION
Due to time constraints I have produced a sample article for magazine E11EVEN. This article is based on plastic pollution as it is a current topical issue and I have taken inspiration from research for my dissertation to produce it. The article is represented by metaphorical visuals of hand created plastic fish and sushi, together with burned plastic bottles to create the tentacles of an octopus. The plastic imagery communicates the message of plastic pollution and how it may potentially affect humans who consume seafood.
