Challenge: Being an energy giant means being responsible for energy too. For the occasion of Earth Hour, Livguard wanted to start a movement to urge audiences to switch off for one hour. A step toward a better future. Insight: Energy is an overused resource. Knowingly or unknowingly, we waste it too. We have this careless habit of unplugging electrical appliances, chargers, and other devices without taking the trouble of turning off the switches. Idea: For Earth hour, let energy rest. The effort in turning off the switches - NIL. Therefore, #BandKaro. Livguard launched its #BandKaro initiative with a virtual switch. A social experiment in the digital space aimed at bringing change in people's habits. We worked towards it by distracting the audience with an interactive banner with a flickering light and a turned-on switch. What people needed to do was to tap on it to turn it off. This initiative also had an "Add to calendar" reminder option directly from the banner for alerting people before the #EarthHour2019.
