East Point Pavilion

  • Tilly Hemingway

The once dated and underperforming, faux Victorian building located on Lowestoft’s South Beach promenade has been transformed into a stand-out destination for Lowestoft seafront, with independent street food traders, house bar, and space for a developing year-round schedule of live music, DJs, performances, and events programmed by First Light Festival CIC. HemingwayDesign acted as creative lead on the project. Our role encompassed visioning, spatial layouts, bespoke joinery elements such as fixed food trader units and bar, furniture specification including the design (and build in some instances) of bespoke pieces, and a graphic identity for the scheme which manifests as a playful geometric pattern inspired by Lowestoft’s seafront and seaside traditions and features heavily on the exterior of the Pavilion.
