The European Centre for Contemporary Art (ECCA) strives to discover and foster artistic ideas for the future, emerging from three areas of artistic and curatorial work: researching, learning and creating. ECCA is an institution in the making. Currently designing a concrete meeting place in Cluj, a pilot space in form of a pavilion, a salon or an office, ECCA evolves into a project space and museum. Based in Cluj-Napoca, in the eye of the Carpathian mountain vortex, ECCA follows a constellation model of research methodologies and collaborative curatorial and artistic practices to create new artistic knowledge. Born out of a diverse and dynamic cultural context, ECCA embodies a mode of working across fields, expanding networks and transgressing territories on various coordinates. https://ecca.ro/
