Echo for Rosia Montana

  • Emanuela Marcu
The project ‘Echo for Rosia Montana’ is a participatory art piece created in various cities of the world by hundreds of people (protesters, activists or participants in solidarity). The artist Emanuela Marcu created the conceptual instructions for the artwork and collaborated with the team of activists and volunteers in London to organize the collection of the artworks or the performance events (ESC- Environmemtal and Social Change). Among the contributors, there were also the academia and ‘La Maison Romaine’ in Paris, the architect Serban Cantacuzino and even the Executive Director of Greenpeace International, Kumi Naidoo. Some of the results have been posted online and the art piece has been recently exhibited at the Romanian Cultural Centre in London: http://www.romanianculturalcentre.org.uk/post.php?id=8732
