The Iveagh Markets site on Francis Street in Dublin 8, Ireland is one of great cultural and historic significance to the city, despite its current state of neglect and disrepair. Within this fictitious brief, planners have revoked planning permission for an apart-hotel on the site and redesignated it for cultural use. The brief called for the design of a visual identity for this new dynamic arts centre, market space, café and studio space to be created with the site. The solution took visual cues from the surrounding area, the history of the building and its locality, paying particular attention to historic imagery, colour and typography. Completed as part of a brief undergone while participating in the The Institute of Creative Advertising & Design Upstarts programme. Responsibilities: Branding • Logo Design • Art Direction • Typography • Strategy • Project Management •
