ELLEMENTS MAGAZINE-"AFRICA IN LONDON"

Fashion editorial for ELLEMENTS MAGAZINE based loosely on the song "promised lands" by Damian Marley and Nas, where they imagined countries and cities in the west being in Africa, and vice versa. Hence my thought, 'WHAT IF AFRICA WAS IN LONDON.'. What would this look like? I wanted to create images for the editorial that would immediately draw the viewer into 'another world'. This shoot is all about striking contrast and juxtaposition. The striking contrast of a quintessential african woman with an afro, in a very traditional english drawing room.
