EMPORIA

EMPORIA was conceived in 2020 in the context of the pandemic, five artists (Bonnie Baxter, Stanley Février, Phillipe Hamelin, Kim Kielhofner, Sophie Latouche) in collaboration with Cégep du Vieux-Montréal and the Musée d'art contemporain des Laurentides created works in dialogue with philosophical reflections for the course of Xavier Brouillette. I worked under the theme of Accumulation, creating three videos from texts by Aristotle, John Locke, and Marcel Hénaff, multiplying images into shifting collages and colourful formations. From September 1 to December 11, 2022, MAC LAU will present the work along with a free course program, making the exhibition space a place of reflection and exchange of knowledge.
