Worked in a multidisciplinary group composed of 5 Business students and 3 Engineering students to advance work on an Energy Enterprise Hub development for rural communities in Malawi. Energy Enterprise Hubs seek to spur wealth creation in rural communities by transforming solar energy into electricity for customers so that they can operate and/or enhance the operations of their businesses. The business students' task was to research the viability of the project, arrive at a tariff rate at which the Enterprise Hub could break even, and to consider Malawi's natural and human resources to propose the most profitable business ventures that could realistically use the hub. Finally, the outcome of our work was to be distilled into a poster for presentation at the Strathclyde's VIP Conference on the 27th of March 2019.
