Étude

Étude is one of My Graduate Films from the Edinburgh College of Art Animation Programme. The film acts as a conversation between composer Laren Polic and myself. By continually responding to each other’s audio and visuals, we created a rhythmic animation that visually maps sound by exploring categories of line, colour and texture, before blending these elements together in a hectic finale. This piece acts as an exercise in skill, and a study of how to portray a complex piece of music through animation.
