EVA — Star Gallery Inflight Entertainment System.

  • Alex Garner

This Inflight entertainment system was designed specifically for EVA Air's brand new B787 aircraft. It runs on the Android platform so it provides a tablet-like experience, with micro-interactions and transitions to well-known navigation patterns. Features include destination based imagery, on-demand video content, interactive map, day & night modes, contextual help, and an inbox, where the crew can deliver personalised messaging and inflight services to individuals.

Welcome.

This entertainment system supports multiple languages and welcomes the passengers onboard with destination based imagery.

Home Screen.

This screen is the first one the passenger sees after selecting their system language. It provides a series of tiles to quickly access the most commonly used areas, promoting movie content, duty-free shopping and destination related information in a more visual style.

Global progressive menu.

Movies content gallery.

Users browse the content via the poster gallery. Category selection and mood filters are available to refine the content displayed.
Additional features.

Kids themed interactive.

A dedicated area that gives parents a peace-of-mind when letting their kids watch and listen to content. It filters out media categorised as adult content, displaying only what’s relevant. The design is kept simple and intuitive with a focus on icon navigation and large menu/navigation buttons.
