I was called on short notice to capture the essence of a powerful and engaging panel discussion hosted by the Southwark Black Parents Forum. The event brought together key community members, educators, and advocates to discuss important topics impacting Black parents and their children in Southwark. Throughout the event, I photographed various aspects, including: The Audience: Capturing the attentiveness, reactions, and engagement of attendees as they listened to the panelists share insights. The Panelists: Posed group shots of the esteemed panelists and key members, providing a formal record of the speakers who led the discussion. Candid Moments: Natural, spontaneous moments of attendees interacting with one another, engaging with the artwork on display, and exploring the event’s flyers and materials, bringing a lively and authentic feel to the images. Despite the short notice, I aimed to document the event with a combination of candid and posed shots to reflect the sense of community, dialogue, and purpose of the gathering.
