Everyday contentment is inspired by the importance of comfort in the home and the significance of hand- crafted artwork. Initially, taking influence from the returning 1970s interior trend and its association with home comforts, everyday contentment has evolved into an appreciation of the home from both the past and present. My collection evokes bold and playful composition containing objects with modernist influence whilst exploring the significance of colour and how it can be layering up to evoke emotions. Everyday Contentment reflects the significance of comfort in the home and the impact that this has on the viewer. The process of creation is essential in my design process and is something I am excited to develop as I progress into the textile industry.
