Ex Animo - A Poem by Adamo

The first poem of my spoken word adventure, with the new name known as Adamo. This poem focuses on a persons struggle through life, trying to deal with heartbreak and resolve, finding it difficult to be at peace with their inner self. Influenced by Shinji Ikari, the main character of the 90's anime serial called 'Neon Genesis Evangelion, the characters overwhelming surroundings and mental health struggles to find inner peace and acknowledgement from others links to the poem and is seen visually to what is being heard. Also influenced by personal experience, as a storyteller, it partly fuels our creative process as we build upon situations that have made us or broken us.
