F I G H T

FIGHT was a site specific performance commissioned for a group exhibition entitled, At the Violet Hour, at the Nayland Rock Hotel, Margate. The narrative was what could possibly be described as the final moments of an affair. At the private view the performance was looped, allowing the audience to follow the actors around the hotel and witness the same declaration, shock and fight over and over again. The power of this performance came with the intimacy of the space (a hotel room) the language and action used in the privacy of their exchange. A video was then installed for the duration of the exhibition, with the room left in the aftermath of the repeated performance.
