Smartypants Pictures brought me on board to create a series of shorts focused on bringing student essays to life. Utilizing folded paper, shallow depth of field, and camera animation to bring the viewer into a world formed from the text itself.
For this project I handled all visuals. Including: modeling, animation, rigging, lighting, texturing and rendering.
Below are the three finished films as well numerous stills from the project. You'll find everything from a WWII battleship to San Francisco's city hall.
