Fair Finance For All – R.S.A Live Brief

  • Jack Johnston
The Royal Society of Arts looked to engage designers with real life issues and professional creative problems with their yearly live briefs, I chose from their six professional lead briefs to create a response to the “fair finance for all” brief. I was asked to try and engage financial excluded communities and individuals in to the benefits modern banking could have on them. My response to this problem revolved around young adults and the lack of information and confidence they might have in the details of everyday banking. These took the form of three different posters-zines that focused on different aspects of personal finance. Each poster-zine gave information that would either build knowledge or confidence in the young adult.
The concept of the zines took from the internet trend of art memes where the context of the image is changed in a comical way using a short sentence. This trend would engage young adults.
