"This song is about being constantly surrounded and overwhelmed by technology & communication. Mike penned the chords and named the tune, prompting me to write lyrics about it; a “Faraday Cage” is an enclosure used to block electro-magnetic fields. This song was written before the pandemic, but has perhaps become even more relevant...during lockdowns we have been virtually trapped indoors, stuck with online communication and working from home, many of us have been feeling like we want some kind of peace that we can’t find."
