Fashion Africa Now

Fashion Africa Now is a global, informal, unique media brand presenting and introducing curated content from an African and Diasporic perspective. We empower, provide space, knowledge, visibility and celebrate the creative industry collaborators. For us it is important to have a dialogue about the global African aesthetic. Exhibition Connecting Afro Futures. Fashion x Hair x Design - The exhibition at the Kunstgewerbemuseum – Berlin’s Museum of Decorative Arts from 24th August came on the 1st of December 2019 to an end. The outcome of the multistage project that started with a week-long collaborative workshop in Berlin in November 2018 and included two project stations in Dakar and Kampala. A magalog – a fashion magazine and exhibition catalog in one – also titled Connecting Afro Futures. Fashion x Hair x Design was published with Kerber Verlag. In addition to fashion editorials and visual stories, the magalog contains essays, statements and interviews on and around afro futures and fashion, hair and design in African and diasporic contexts. The publication was edited and produced by the exhibition’s curators.
