Despite the rise of digital media, the book has proven to be a timeless and still relevant medium that remains a popular and collectible object. From now on books will be judged according to how well they awaken this materiality, because the decision to create a book at all will be based on a definite choice of paper as the medium. The Stedelijk wishes to celebrate this by offering an annual zine, each year in collaboration with a new artist. The name of the zine will be few and far between, because things that are few and far between are very rare or do not happen very often.
