FF&E PROJECT: Private house, Kurdistan

  • Cecilia Vasilotta

The project was based in Kurdistan and refers to a private residence on three floors, of about 2600 sqm with large spaces. The project required a proposal of fixed and loose furniture, with a linear but refined taste, along with warm colors and encircling shapes. The selection was complete: all loose furniture, wallpaper, and floor coverings and the selection of fabrics trimmings and all finishing, in and out-door. I created moodboards for each room in order to present the selection to the customer.

Taking the lead from the customer's suggestions, I selected the fabrics for each family member. I worked on the selection of different materials and fabrics, such as washable leather, fire resistant velvet or different typologies of silk, which might be the most suitable for their future use.
Above, the mood boards for two bedrooms. Each one of them proposes two alternatives, with the same nuance's color but with different types of fabrics, trimmings or wallcovering.
Here's an example of psd file that I use to support moodboards, by placing the loose furniture selected for the project during a presentation to the client.
Here below, a type of curtain design. This was also one of the furnishing elements offered to the customer.
