(2018 - Present) www.fieldsinfields.com Fields in Fields is an independent, online publication which seeks to showcase contemporary rural economies in relevant and inspiring ways. Stories include: in-depth interviews, profile shorts, essays, and research articles on everyday individuals, businesses, places, flora and fauna, events, and ideas of the countryside. After growing up in cities my whole life, I moved to a rural Oxfordshire village in 2017. I was compelled to begin Fields in Fields soon after, in Spring 2018, with the aim of exploring urban-rural migrations and contemporary rural working lifestyles. Through the project I hope to foster more meaningful, personal, and productive connections between rural-urban and rural-rural communities than what mainstream media currently offers. Contributors have included: chefs, floriculturists, a surfer social entrepreneur, an architect, members of a sustainable design commune, hotelier, paper marbling artist, conservationist, ethnographer, writers, and more.
