First Pop up. Grassroots

On the 29th July, I held my brand’s first pop up. It was held at submerged spaces, Manchester (a photography studio space) that had originally put on the exhibit for photographers and visual artists but after some convincing I managed to get a space. With 4 days notice, I thought how I could make pop up interactive as possible so I focused on the five senses: Sight- I had a promotional video (that can be found the brand’s Instagram: @bykaijackson) played on a projector as well as current plus future work up for display (samples from the upcoming collection- giving me the chance to get some unbiased feedback, prior to release) Hearing- was the live music Smell- I used some Yankee candles, that had scent that made feel the emotion I was trying to convey with the pieces- peace Touch- passersby were able to physically interact with the pieces and feel the quality. This was key because it easiest convey quality online, without overselling. Taste- I provided some snacks, which as you can guess finished very quickly The overall result was great! I got a load great feedback and was able to connect with other great creatives. Digital marketing is great but I really enjoyed being able to make that real world connection. It’s safe to say this won’t be the last. Thanks to everyone, who came out and for the messages of support. J
