Flawedless

The inspiration for this project comes from Dove’s “Real Beauty” campaign that touched on the topic of female objectification of women in media and advertising and in its essence gave women power to define what beauty is. “Flawedless” was envisioned as taking it a step further giving women power to define their flaws and then deconstructing them in the eyes of the viewer showing that flaws that we think we have are not seen as flaws by others. In its core “Flawedless” is a private conversation between the subject of the photograph and the viewer whereby women reveal their secrets by defining the flaws they think they have from the position of power doing so in the open.
