Here at FreeAgent we have a lot of love for our amazing customers: freelancers and small business owners who work tirelessly to make their ventures a success. So every Valentine’s Day we like to do something special to share that sentiment with our community. Over the years, we’ve written love songs, recited poems and shared gifts, but this year we decided to find a new way to let our customers know how great we think they are on Valentine’s Day.
With 11 years’ experience (and counting!) of helping our customers with their accounting software needs, we know there’s a whole host of reasons why the self-employed life works really well for them. So this year, we decided to tap into those good vibes for our Valentine’s Day campaign and took to social media to ask our community: “what do you love most about being self-employed?”
As the responses came rolling in thick and fast, a selection of delightful themes emerged, from the flexibility of working from anywhere and the freedom that comes from being your own boss, to having four-legged friends as co-workers!
Our talented team of in-house designers then created a stylised series of six virtual posters to reflect the most popular responses, and we shared these with on social media on Valentine’s Day.
As a bonus, we also hosted a competition for followers to vote for their favourite poster and win a printed copy to add a little extra freelancer pride to their home office.
The appreciation we received across social media from our customers was fantastic and with over 500 engagements, 80 comments and 10,000 impressions, the campaign was a big success. You can check out the final six posters below:
