Upon moving to London, I immediately started to notice the piles of litter overflowing from the bins, or cans of beer being discarded in the bushes. Upon lifting a touristic way of perceiving the world and seeing everything as a citizen, I undertook this photographic project to observe all of these imperfections and problems. My initial concern was “why do we not have more bins?”. The research revealed a really serious reason – terrorism. This observation was the catalyst to form a project that reflected upon a complex situation. Within the project reference to the brutal architecture of London was an aspect of the project's design process, considerations upon shape, colour and typography were central to the development of its visual language. Litter is everywhere so I also want my aesthetics to be all over the place. The use of analogue photography and cinematography was central to aesthetic development, it's visual nostalgia a reminder on times when our planet was a bit cleaner.
