Foundation

Tackling a cross community issue through the medium of streetwear. Foundation is a brand created to forge new relationships between Catholic and Protestant communities within Northern Ireland. Foundation draws imagery and symbolism from either side of the religious divide and presents them in their simplest forms. Framed in such away that strips back the symbols and removes negative connotations wrongly associated with the symbols in the first place. T-shirt graphics include the symbols found from both Catholic and protestant murals and landscapes from around Northern Ireland, images used for the look book have then been shot in Catholic and Protestant estates in Belfast; creating a juxtaposition between the urban and rural environments in Northern Ireland.
