'Fractured Beauty,’ celebrates the physical body by unveiling and exemplifying the inconsequential features that one might choose to hide from view and instead decided to celebrate them. As a result, it gives greater admiration to how one might view themselves. This is also from a personal perspective as a person and a photographer, with the primary focus on how clothing, for instance, has conflicting views: it serves both to frame the body and to distinguish oneself on how we would like to be perceived. It raises the notion of concealment and revelation, ‘truth’ and ‘deception’ and how one could look at the clothed body. It has many meanings and perspectives, it can be a disguise, or acts as a mask or veil. One could say 'Clothing is, then, both a barrier and a sense of free expression.' The photographic intent is to create a reflective narrative by depicting the human body as it is.
