Cover for the article “Discover how the fusion of the physical and the digital is informing design” on Frame Lab - Visual Essay, which refers to a new understading of materiality between the new invisible technology and the work of art. Words by Floor Kuitert.

About Between Reflected Dimensions.
The series is made up of digital images in 3D with the principle subject matter being mirrors and reflexions. These compositions mix several elements, characters, shapes, and sets. The idea is to explore the relationship between surrealism and abstraction.
The materials are quite cold and shiny - Spheres, cubes, lines, textures and organic shapes. The pieces are also influenced by the narcissism of mythological characters looking through into mirrors. Visually, I wanted to manipulate the space with mirrors so that the scene can be exposed in all types of dimensions.

Like a parallel betweeen magic, nature, space and time.
It’s not about creating new worlds but revealing dimensions in 3D space. Althouthg they are all stilllife images, there is a big interaction of elements which aims for an emocional perception of the pieces - like neoclassical sculptures lost in time and reflected spaces.
