Fruize

Sally Charlton has brought Clara Bacou's anthropomorphic baby deer illustration to life in the form of a real-life 3D sculpture made from fibreglass resin. About 1.2m tall, it is sculpted out of WED clay, moulded in a 3 part silicone fibreglass jacket mould and cast in fibreglass resin. Fruize has been sanded thoroughly to a fine grit, to give it a smooth finish all over. After that primed and airbrushed in acryllic paint then finished with a glossy clearcoat.
