Fungi is a highly intelligent organism within our realm living kingdoms, yet are often relegated to a simplistic notion of being insentient. Their actions and methods of living run more parallel with ours than perhaps we see. This series compares the act of fungal reproduction and spread with the process of a human revolution. From the festering discontentment in the underground - the first mycelial hyphae connecting to each other, to a call to action where fungi releases its spores to reproduce and save itself and ultimately infiltrate from within, fungi work in an uncannily similar way as the manners of human revolution. Made by collaging hand monoprinted elements the result is a series intended to question our anthropocentric manner of judging sentience in accordance with 'human' barometers of intelligence.
