Furlough Bee - GMCA

Furlough Bee is a culture piece commissioned by the GMCA during the height of the 2020 Covid-19 Lockdown. It explores the early impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic and nationwide lockdown on the Manchester area. With perspectives from Manchester based sociologists including Dr Wendy Bottero of The School of Social Sciences at Manchester University the film looks at the current and potential long term effects the pandemic was having on the people of Greater Manchester.
