PURPOSE Prime Video's international team approached us to lead on the UK launch of Prime Video's first African original film, Gangs of Lagos. Gangs of Lagos is a film about a group of friends who each have to navigate their own destiny, growing up on the bustling streets and neighbourhood of Isale Eko, Lagos. We were tasked to help drive awareness, anticipation and word of mouth amongst the diaspora which resulted in creating a special tastemaker screening, a press junket, influencer gifting and overall coverage. INFLUENCE On top of securing coverage from the likes of BBC Radio 1 Xtra, The Cornershop Network, Reprezent Radio & Amaka Studios to name a few, we created an immersive event in Battersea's Power Station giving the perfect backdrop for the bustling streets of Lagos. The event consisted of various activations complemented by Nigerian chops & drinks seamlessly representing the streets of Lagos and giving attendees a sense of pride and an authentic reflection of pride. We finalised on the launch with a specially curated PR gift box inspired by our theme "Welcome To Lagos". The box consisted of African inspired jewellery from KIONII, a gift card from African & Caribbean grocer Oja HQ, custom danfo truck biscuits and special beverages imported from Nigeria. We seeded the likes of Alex Iwobi, Tolly T, Dami Hope, Wunmi Bello and more.
