Giraffe In The City

This series of illustrations "Giraffe in the City" was made for the WildLife Artist of the Year 2020 contest hosted by the David Shepherd Foundation. The theme of this series is "Urban Wildlife". In the course of my work, I was worried about how a wild animal like giraffe fits organically into the urban environment? Four works from the series depict a giraffe that imitates human behavior - he is a fabulous character who swims in the pool, walks around the city, works as a window cleaner and distributes leaflets that are pasted over him like a lamppost. He can also make people laugh by peeping through the office window. Finally, the last work depicts a giraffe who sacrifices his spots at a construction site in the Savannah, giving them in the form of bricks.
