Girli, Odd One Out, Virgin EMI Records

'One of these things is not like the others, One of these things just doesn't belong, Can you tell which thing is not like the others Before I finish my song?' In the lead up to Girli's debut album 'Odd One Out', we collaborated in making a months worth of content showcasing every side to her weird and wonderful (and sometimes odd) personality. This particular shoot concept was an ode to one of Sesame Street's old school songs 'One of These Things', featuring a number of everyday items one of which does not belong. Here we riffed on the idea and displayed a selection of foods alongside the (very obviously different) 'Odd One Out' album vinyl. We also filmed and edited a video with Girli singing the original song and gesturing towards the items on display in the manner of a 1970's gameshow host. The styling also emphasised this aesthetic and inspiration from the era.
