  • Natalie Worgs

gIRLS aBOUT pECKHAM emerges from the creative hub that is Peckham, and has been invading spaces that have historically been lacking coverage of diverse communities. This summer gIRLS aBOUT pECKHAM showcased for the first time at the Tate Modern as part of Uniqlo Tate Lates by way of a digital takeover which involved an installation and film documenting the spirit of Peckham, it's fruitful culture and changing landscape due to gentrification. We also presented our first ever zine - a collaboration between gIRLS aBOUT pECKHAM and artist Sophie Goudman-Peachey. The zine consists of 12 pages of artwork - illustrating the essence of girls about Peckham. Using only images taken by Natalie Worgs around Peckham, seen through her lens at the heart of the community and culture of SE15. Each page oozes the fusion of cultural influences of the area and the inspirational fashion of the diverse women who give Peckham it's acclaimed title as one of the coolest areas to live in the World.
