The Global Cities Institute focuses on the evolving role of cities and regions in realising social, economic and environmental aspirations. The institute, a not-for-profit initiative by Aecom, draws on the company’s fully integrated planning, design, engineering and management capabilities to help improve cities. The ‘CITY’ graphic creatively evolves with each description from growing to shrinking, green to arid, wealthy to poor. The film effectively and artistically explores this cross section of cities, questioning the approach on how to deal with these current urban problems.
