Gloucestershire Sexual Violence Logo Competition

  • Eleanor Jones

So happy and surprised to have placed second in the Gloucestershire Sexual Violence Partnership Logo Competiton. It was a great experience to broaden my digital skills to produce a logo design, especially for such an urgent cause. The brief was set for students to create a logo demonstrating the awareness of sexual harassment, and had to represent the 10 health and safety agencies that are part of the Sexual Violence Partnership Board in Gloucestershire, while also working in conjunction with the Glostakesastand logo. Using Adobe Illustrator below is the concept of my design: Colours: Blue/turquoise represent the meaning of security, trust and protection from the colour theory. The purple works in conjunction with the 'Glostakesastand' logo. Motifs: - Outer edge and top of the logo represent a shield (meaning protection). - The hands represent care. - Circle and hands that are intertwined represent a figure needing protection. - From bottom to top, the logo represents a ribbon to work in conjunction with the 'Glostakesastand' logo.
