'Here is the animated video of ‘Dust to Dust (ਮਿੱਟੀ)’, the closing track from my EP. This song is the epitome of my sound; exploring deep reflections on death, morality and Sikhi, whilst blending gritty east coast hip hop with thought-provoking lyrics.
The track features three intimate samples:
1. Live bachans from mahapurakhs recorded by me on stage.
2. An extremely personal recording from my cousin's funeral.
3. My baby girl Sargun's heartbeat, captured during a hospital visit at 8 months of pregnancy.
This song encourages listeners to contemplate life's value. In my daily nitnem (prayers), I'm reminded that each breath is a gift. Life is fleeting, but death is certain. Therefore, cherish every moment, find joy and meaning in each breath, and stay devoted to your Guru.
