Google Digital Expert Programme - Live Mag Web Development (2011)

One of only twelve 18-25 year olds on Google's Digital Experts programme being held in collaboration with Livity - a youth engagement agency based in South London. Over the course of the programme I was trained in different aspects of digital marketing by Google employees before helping to set up a pop-up digital agency.

The areas in which we were trained included:

- Search Engine Optimisation
- Planning and implementing social media strategies
- Planning and implementing direct mail strategies
- Google AdWords
- Google Analytics
- Google Display Network
- Project Management

As part of the training, all 12 members of the programme came together to set up a pop-up digital agency. After setting up the agency, we were given a client whom we had to build a brand new website for before putting together a digital marketing campaign to highlight the new site.

During this campaign I headed up the web design team, helping to lead a group of 3 to design and build the website on time and on budget. Here I had to delegate the best platform to build the website on, whilst planning out the user interface and user experience of the website. Despite hiccups and the repeated absence of a member of the team, we were able to complete the website on time and on budget.
