Graduate Collection — IANVS

The collection expands from a pocket watch, it revolves around the idea of timelessness and distortion of time and space in the surreal universe. It takes inspiration from the roman God of Time Janus and Trajan’s column as well as Salvador Dalí, whom I regard to be one of the most complex artists of all time, immersing himself into all forms of arts. Making use of Schiaparelli’s archives, the result was an elegant take on surrealism, highlighted with tailoring and organic shapes inspired by Dalí and his lobster. The result is a sophisticated silhouette which is transcended out of the body and interacts with the surroundings. It is an amalgamation of fashion and wearable art. The idea is to blend playfulness with elegance to cater for the truly timeless woman. She who is uncompromising, a bifrons like Janus.
